Holy Week 2026 · Saturday, April 4
The in-between day. The silence after the cross — before the empty tomb.
Holy Saturday is the day the Church observes that is unlike any other in the year. Jesus has died. The tomb is sealed. The disciples do not yet know what Sunday holds. This is the experience of Holy Saturday: not grief exactly, not hope exactly — but the honest weight of both, held together in silence.
Our Holy Saturday service is deliberately understated. Unplugged. A cappella. Drawn entirely from the Book of Common Prayer 2019. It is short, spare, and deeply honest — a liturgical acknowledgment that not everything resolves quickly, and that waiting is itself a form of faith.
