Holy Week 2026 · Thursday, April 2
“Do you know what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord — and you are right, for that is what I am.”
John 13:13
On the night before his crucifixion, Jesus gathered with his disciples for a final meal. He broke bread, poured wine, and then — to their astonishment — knelt to wash their feet. In these three acts, he gave the Church its three most enduring gifts: a commandment to love, a sacrament to remember him by, and a posture of servant leadership.
Holy Trinity Silicon Valley invites you to commemorate this holy night through our Maundy Thursday liturgy, drawing from the Book of Common Prayer 2019. The service will include the Liturgy of the Word, Holy Communion, and the ritual of foot washing — a practice as ancient as the night itself.
