Holy Saturday

The day that Jesus’ body lies in the tomb, is called Holy Saturday and is when the Great Vigil of Easter occurs. This day in Holy Week is less familiar to some of us, but in the early church it was a time of keeping watch with anticipation of the immanent resurrection of Jesus and then joyously celebrating that he has risen indeed! Thus, the Great Vigil of Easter is considered the first liturgy of Easter Day. This vigil will be held in Cooper Park in Mountain View.

Following the service we will have a 5pm meal; bring a long a picnic dinner to join us!
