The Table: A Safe Place To Explore Faith

The Table: A Safe Place To Explore Faith

Throughout Scripture, Jesus engaged all sorts of people, from all sorts of backgrounds. And he primarily did this around a table, with food and conversation. The table is also where we gather each week to engage in the practice of communion: a chance to meet Christ and one another in unity. In this way, a table has deep and powerful symbolic meaning for the Christian tradition.

The Table is a weekly small group that happens on Thursday nights with the intention of engaging people who find themselves in a variety of different spaces and phases in faith, but are curious and want to know more or get answers to questions.

Maybe you don’t know anything about the Bible or what it says. Maybe you consider yourself a ‘none’. Maybe you’re currently deconstructing. Maybe you’re in a dechurched space in life.  Maybe you don’t know what you think about Jesus. Maybe you don’t know what you think about faith in general. That’s ok. We want to host a safe space to explore who Jesus is, what the Bible says, and what a life of faith looks like. Questions are welcomed, and everyone is engaged, no matter where you find yourself in life and faith.

We meet at a local home for a potluck meal, a time spent exploring a topic of faith, and then spend time socializing or hanging out.
